Greater Cairo will witness highs of 35 to 37 degrees Celsius that may feel like 37 to 40 degrees from Thursday to Tuesday due to humidity.

Moreover, average humidity levels in Greater Cairo will range between 30 to 40 percent during the day and 75 to 80 percent at night during the same period. 

Meanwhile, South Sinai will see temperatures of 39 to 40 degrees Celsius that may feel like its 42 to 43 degrees — also due to humidity.

Also, the North Coast will experience highs of 31 to 32 degrees Celsius that will feel like 31 to 33 degrees.

Furthermore, North Coast vacationers will feel hotter, since the average humidity rates will range between 55 to 60 percent throughout the day and 90 to 95 percent at night.

Fortunately, the EMA said that temperatures will drop significantly there during the night.

In South Sinai, humidity will range between 30 to 35 percent during the day and 55 to 60 percent during the night.

However, active winds over parts of South Sinai could help in breathing through the heat.

As for Upper Egypt, mercury will soar up to highs of 42 to 43 degrees Celsius that may feel like 43 to 44 degrees.

The EMA also warned that a morning fog would last until 6:00am every day during the five-day period on highways, agricultural roads, and roads overlooking watery areas that connect Greater Cairo, the North Coast, and Suez Canal cities.

Gruelling heatwaves continue to spread across the globe as a result of climate change, with Middle Eastern states — including Egypt — bearing the heavy brunt of the phenomenon over the past 30 years.
