In Photos: Egyptian, South Korean air forces perform Pyramids Airshow 2022 at Giza Plateau

The Egyptian Air Force’s Silver Stars aerobatics team and Horus helicopter team, along with the South Korean Black Eagles performed an airshow at the Pyramids Plateau on Wednesday morning, Egypt’s Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities said.

The air show, organised by Egypt's Ministry of Defence, was attended by Egypt’s Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Khaled El-Enany, Civil Aviation Minister Mohamed Manar, Minister of Youth and Sports Ashraf Sobhy, Egyptian Air Force Commander Lt. General Mohamed Abbas, and South Korean Ambassador to Egypt Hong Jin-wook in addition to a number of Egyptian and South Korean officials.

This air show is a great promotion for Egyptian tourism in general and for the pyramids area in particular, El-Enany, said.

He noted that coordination is underway with the Air Force to organise other events, whether parachuting or air shows over the skies of Egypt in various tourist areas.

The Egyptian military music team also participated by playing patriotic musical pieces accompanied by distinguished rhythmic movements.

The Horus team participated in the air show by flying their Gazelle helicopters.

The Black Eagles team arrived in Cairo on Monday and trained on Tuesday along with their Egyptian counterparts.

The Egyptian Silver Stars aerobatics team was formed officially in 1974.
