Value of Arab stock exchanges rise to $4.46 trillion: Arab Monetary Fund

The value of stock exchanges in the Arab world rose to $4.46 trillion at the end of last week, according to data published by the Arab Monetary Fund.

The fund made the announcement in its weekly bulletin covering capitalisation of the Arab stock exchanges included in the fund’s database, which comprises 13 exchanges.

According to Emirates News Agency (WAM), the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange achieved the largest market gains by a value of about $15.647 billion, raising its market capital from $548.85 billion to $564.5 billion.

Meanwhile, the Egyptian Stock Exchange achieved the largest market gains in percentage terms by about 5.55 percent, raising its market capital from $33.27 billion to $35.12 billion.
