El-Shorbagy’s remarks came during a ceremony organized by the NPA to honor distinguished students at the ACU, in the presence of Board Chairman of Al-Ahram Establishment Abdel-Mohsen Salama, and ACU President Seddik Abdelsalam Tawfik.

He said that "our goal in the near future is adding new faculties to the university," stressing that there is full coordination between NPA and Al-Ahram Establishment to make ACU on top of the list of the most prestigious universities nationwide.

The chairman of the national press authority announced that the training programs at Al-Ahram and at NPA’s recently-launched website “eg.spot” are now open for students.

The ACU, founded in 2005, is a non-profit accredited educational institution affiliated with Al-Ahram Establishment under Presidential Decree No. 393/2004. The university, whose admission for 2022/2023 is not open, compromises nine Faculties with fees ranging from EGP40,000 to EGP130,000, according to its website.

ACU’s faculties include the Faculty of Pharmacy, the Faculty of Business Administration, the Faculty of Computer Sciences and Information Technology, the Faculty of Mass Communication, the Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine, the Faculty of Engineering, the Faculty of Physiotherapy, the Faculty of Design and Innovative Arts, and the Faculty of Languages and Translation.

From his side, the Board Chairman of Al-Ahram Establishment praised NPA's keenness to honor ACU’s distinguished students and champions, saying that this is the first honorary ceremony for many more.

Salama said that training windows are now widely opened to students in the establishment’s various sectors, highlighting the NPA's honor of significant students and offering them practical training in all fields within the Al-Ahram Establishment.

He referred that ACU’s students enrolled in other faculties could have their training in other sectors inside Al-Ahram too, stressing that the distinguished among them will have the chance to get a job.

Salama said that a special grant will be paid for the distinguished students and the remarkable graduation projects.

The ACU runs specialized centres including Centre of Excellence, the Educational Centre of Dental Medicine, Centre of Media Studies, the Research Centre for Administrative and Economic Studies, the Research Centre and Consultancy in Information Technology, and the Consultancy Centre in Pharmaceutical Services.

The university also offers female students a well-furnished hostel, which is equipped with cooking facilities as well as means of entertainment, located close to the University campus, the university website says.

The ACU, which has a bus fleet to transport the students all over different Cairo and Giza areas, also has a Food Court that contains a variety of branded food and beverage suppliers, according to its official website.
