Egypt's Suez Canal revenue hits $415.9 million in June

Revenue from Egypt's Suez Canal fell to $415.9 million in June from $434.6 million in May, the state information portal said on Tuesday.

In June 2011, revenue was $445.2 million.

The waterway is a vital source of foreign currency in Egypt, along with tourism, oil and gas exports and remittances from Egyptians living abroad.
