The discussions came with the aim of advancing the two countries’ aspirations towards achieving sustainable development, progress and prosperity for their two brotherly peoples, according to a statement by the Presidential Spokesperson Bassam Rady.
The two leaders also discussed a host of international issues, regional security, the current situation in the Arab world, and agreed on the importance of bolstering joint Arab work and unity to face common challenges, according to the statement.
President El-Sisi had received Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed earlier in the day at New Alamein International Airport, in the UAE's president first official visit to Egypt since assuming his country's presidency last May.
The volume of trade exchange between Egypt and UAE amounted to $3.623 billion in 2021.
The UAE has made substantial investments in Egypt in the past several years, notably increasing and diversifying its economic activities across various sectors of the Egyptian economy in recent months.
