On Monday night, Zamalek was crowned Egyptian Premier League Champions after the second-placed Pyramids FC lost 0-1 against Future FC.

The Whites, who will be facing Ittihad of Alexandria on Tuesday night, have 75 points, ensuring their second consecutive league title with three games remaining.

“We will have an unprecedented celebration in the stadium after the Ittihad match. I want to congratulate the fans, the coach and the players,” Mansour told Al-Shams TV channel late on Monday after the Pyramids’ loss.

“We have completed the signing of Zakaria El-Wardi. The player is already in Cairo after signing the contract and receiving his money,” the club president added.

The 24-year-old will be joining Zamalek from Moroccan club Raja Casablanca where he spent the last three seasons, scoring twice in 112 appearances in all competitions.

El-Wardi’s prominent achievements with Raja were winning the African Super Cup in 2019, Moroccan league title in 2020 and the African Confederation Cup title in 2021.

A few hours later, Mansour also confirmed through Zamalek TV channel that Senegalese winger Ibrahima Ndiaye, who currently plays for Swiss side Luzern, is the second summer signing for the Cairo giants.

Ndiaye, 24, previously played in Egypt for Wadi Degla, which he joined in 2016 from Senegalese side ASC Diaraf before departing to join Luzern in 2019.

Since joining Luzern, Ndiaye, a member of Senegal U-23 national team, has scored 24 goals in 112 appearances on all fronts with the club.
