Al-Hafeed (The Grandson) play is an adaptation of author Abdel-Hamid Gouda Al-Sahar’s novel. It is a social comedy about the Egyptian family that suffers from the negative impact of customs and traditions on its members and their psychology. Rented Life, a romantic, philosophical, and comic social play presented by Mid Sea Wave company, adapted and directed by Yasmin Imam.
Will there ever be a moment where we take our masks off and see our own ways? Six characters in three stories are looking for their own ways. A strange script is found by a couple in the morning, an unexpected gift is given to a girl on her birthday, and two people find themselves in a place they don't know, but they think they know everything about it. The show is based on two short plays and two very short plays: School of Thought, The 45th, Scripted, and The Rental, written by American writer Mark Harvey Levine.
The show contains moments in which actors interact directly with the audience (28 August, 8pm).
