What they said after Zamalek's league triumph celebration

After Tuesday’s 1-1 draw with rivals Ittihad of Alexandria, Zamalek players, technical staff and fans celebrated winning their second successive league trophy amid a festive atmosphere at Cairo's International stadium.

On Monday, the Cairo giants were already crowned Egyptian Premier League champions for a 14th time without kicking a ball after the 1-0 loss of second-placed team Pyramids FC to rivals Future FC

Ahram Online collected reactions from players and technical staff members following the celebration:

Ayman Taher

“Fans made the difference this season. Our keeper Mohamed Awaad was one of the key reasons in winning the league and Cup titles as we worked hard together to improve his performance and he made great progress,” said Zamalek’s goalkeeping coach Ayman Taher.

Hazem Emam

“Fans stood behind us and attended all games and finally we managed to please them. We will not stop winning more titles in the future,” said Zamalek’s right-back Hazem Emam.

Emam Ashour

“I would like to thank the players who delivered all their best to win the title and also the fans who were always our number one player,” said Zamalek's midfilder Emam Ashour

Seif Gafaar

“Fans are the key reason behind our success this season. It was a very hard tournament and we deserve it after the players' huge effort. We will work hard to win the African Champions League in the coming years,” said Zamalek’s attacking midfielder Seif Gafaar.

Mohamed Ashraf Roqa

“We worked hard this season to please the fans and end the season on a high note. Winning the league title was our main target and we hope that this is the start for more,” said Zamalek’s central midfielder Mohamed Ashraf.

Seifeddine Jaziri

“We got the title after a long road. It is the outcome of unity as fans were behind the team and also the players were deploying the strategy of the technical staff in a perfect way,” said Zamalek's Tunisian striker Seifeddine Jaziri.

Sayed 'Neymar' Abdallah

“Jesualdo Ferreira is a great coach and he always gave us confidence to deliver our best. We already closed the page of the league title to concentrate well in clinching the coming titles,” said Zamalek’s midfielder Sayed 'Neymar' Abdallah.

Omar El-Said

“It was an exceptional season and the most important thing is that we achieved the league title. It was a very difficult season and so winning the trophy has a different feeling this time,” said Zamalek’s striker Omar El-Said.
