Lebanese singer Georges Al-Rassi dies in a car accident

Lebanese singer Georges Al-Rassi died Saturday morning at the age of 40 in a car accident, Lebanese and Syrian News agencies confirmed.

Reports stated that the pop singer and a woman who was accompanying him died after their car collided with a barrier on the Lebanese-Syrian border.

Many renowned Arab singers and musicians have mourned the tragic death of Al-Rassi including Lebanese pop stars Elissa and Nancy Ajram and George Wassouf.

The shocking news is trending on various social media platforms, along with with a photo of his crashed car.

The active Lebanese actor, singer, model, musician and songwriter started his career early in his boyhood, winning multiple contests and awards and releasing a number of successful albums like Sahr Al-Layl, Hikaya, Sibt El-Hadaf, Wala Yomken, Jay Te Tezer, Kif Awsefak, Hamdellah Aal Salama, as well as many singles and collaborations.

The late singer was born in 1982 and is married with one child.
