Mohamed, 24, came as a second half substitute directly after the break to help his team come back from behind, as the first half ended with an early 1-0 lead for Toulouse, with Moroccan striker Zakaria Aboukhlal scoring the opener after just 15 minutes from the start.
Forward Evann Guessand scored the equaliser for Nantes in minute 50, before Mohamed doubled the score through a perfect header just five minutes later.
Mohamed, who made three league appearances as a substitute so far this season, continued to shine against Toulouse; providing an assist for the third goal after sending a perfect pass to Nigerian teammate Moses Simon.
Monday’s victory is the first for Nantes in the league this season, as they lie ninth on the table with just five points from four games. The team held to a draw against Angers and Lille before losing in the last round against Olympique de Marseille.
The Egyptian international striker Mohamed completed his move last month to Ligue 1 side Nantes from Turkish club Galatasaray on a season-long loan with an option to make the deal permanent.
Mohamed joined Galatasaray from Cairo giants Zamalek on a one-and-a-half-season loan deal in January 2021, with an option to make it permanent for $4 million.
Last December, the club informed Zamalek that they would take up the option to sign the Egyptian international on a permanent basis.
Mohamed scored 17 goals in 59 appearances in all competitions with Galatasaray.
