The friendly game between Egypt and Belgium will be played in Kuwait at 16:00 Cairo Local time (GMT+2), according to a statement by the Belgian Football Association.
The Belgian Red Devils have drawn in Group F of the 2022 World Cup alongside Morocco, Canada and Croatia.
Under the helm of new coach Rui Vitoria, 52, Egypt will start their first training camp in September.
Vitoria has reportedly asked the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) to play two friendly games during his first preparatory camp, possibly against Niger and Liberia.
“Our main target from the first camp is to achieve harmony between the technical staff and players, and I also want to monitor players closely, as playing with the national team is totally different from the club level,” Vitoria said in a press conference.
“We preferred to postpone the announcement of the preliminary squad until finishing the league on Tuesday to keep players’ concentration,” added the former Benfica coach, who signed a four-year contract in July to take charge of the national team.
“We want to give players more experience with the national team so they are ready to be called-up any time. We are monitoring all players and the door is open for all of them to prove their worth,” Vitoria explained.
Egypt's national team maintained their position at 40th place in FIFA’s August world rankings that were released on Thursday, while Belgium cemented second in the World ranking behind Brazil.
