According to the General Coordinator of The National Dialogue Diaa Rashwan, the 19-member board received the nominations of 350 names to choose from.
Rashwan added that six names were chosen after a review of the nominees' CVs, their political affiliations and their specialisations.
The board of trustees chose prominent political thinker and former Minister of Youth and Sports Dr. Ali Eddin Helal as a rapporteur for the political track, and political researcher Ahmed Kamel El-Behairy as an assistant rapporteur.
Former Minister of Youth and Sports Dr. Khaled Abdel-Aziz was chosen as a rapporteur for the social track, with anthropologist Hania Sholkamy as an assistant rapporteur.
Former Minister of Finance Dr. Ahmed Galal was chosen as a rapporteur for the economic track, with former Chairman of Al-Ahram Press Abdel-Fattah El-Gebaly as an assistant rapporteur.
The board also chose six rapporteurs for the political track’s subcommittees, including political science professor and former head of National Council for Human Rights Nevine Mossad as a rapporteur for the human rights and public freedoms subcommittee, with human rights lawyer Ahmed Ragab as an assistant rapporteur.
Veteran MP and political science professor Mohamed Safi Eddin Kharboush and MP Ehab El-Tamawy were chosen as rapporteur and assistant rapporteur for the exercise of political rights, parliamentary representation and political parties subcommittee respectively.
The board also picked political science and management professor Samir Abdel-Wahab as a rapporteur and MP Alaa Essam as an assistant rapporteur for the municipals subcommittee.
According to Diaa Rashwan, the board of trustees will convene on Saturday to choose the rest of the rapporteurs for the technical and subcommittees for both economic and social tracks.
