89' A cross from Salah is cleared just before it finds lone striker Kouka. 

86' In a rare Niger effort, a shot from winger Amadou Moutari from the edge of the area goes over the bar. 

85' Trezeguet just fails to get on the end of a delightful through pass from the lively Ashour. 

79' The second-half substitutions energised Egypt's display, especially Emam Ashour, who is pulling strings in midfield.

9' Niger also threaten at the other end! A bold move from Victorien Adebayor sees him cut inside from the right and fire a curling shot that goes just over the bar. 

8' The first chance for Egypt! Salah just fails to get on the end of a threaded pass even though keeper mis-judges it. 

5' Egypt push forward in the early stages to score an early goal, but they are yet to carve out openings. 

2' In Egypt's first effort, Salah lays off the ball to Ahmed Zizo, whose low shot from inside the area is blocked by the defence.
