The app was launched by the Egyptian Ministry of Communications and Information Technology in October as part of gearing up for the COP27 in Sharm El-Sheikh.
The app provides a contactless onsite check-in, via a scannable QR code, for Covid-19.
It is also the only way for participants to access free transportation in Sharm El-Sheikh, using the QR code, especially since it uses GPS guidance.
The ministry also said that users of the app will be able to plan their trips to Egypt, request visas and book flights and hotels both before their arrival and during the event.
App users will be able to keep up with the latest updates on COP27.
The app also provides translations for instructions and signs into different languages.
COP27 participants will access services in cases of emergency through the app. It will also allow users to have direct contact with providers of various services.
The ministry stated that the app has been entirely developed by an Egyptian company in collaboration with digital services providers from ministries and government agencies in Egypt.
