Striker Osama Faisal met a low cross from Emad Mayhoub to tap home from close range in the 70th minute what turned to be the decider of this tie.

The young Pharaohs have conceded a scoreless draw in the away leg last week and go through on a 1-0 aggregate win.

Egypt U23 team will now face Zambia in the next round in March 2023.

The U23 Africa Cup of Nations will take place in July 2023 in Morocco with the first three teams qualifying automatically to the 2024 Olympic Games.

Egypt will be going to defend their title won in 2019.
