Shahin made her comments during the third edition of Al-Ahram Establishment’s two-day pharmaceutical conference that kicked off on Sunday.

She also asserted the importance of the Public-Private sector Partnerships (PPPs) as a model for healthcare initiatives.

Both the government and private sector are keen on achieving sustainability, according to the manager at the Swiss multinational healthcare company.

“In this respect, Roche Egypt is currently contributing to the success of several healthcare initiatives in terms of diagnosis, providing equipped units as well as upgrading the infrastructure,” said Shahin.

She added that during COVID-19 pandemic, Roche collaborated with the government to provide the proper infrastructure that helped contain the pandemic.

“During this phase, we worked at about 23 laboratories, while we are currently working on opening a new one. We are also providing treatments with competitive prices. Roche seeks to contribute to and cooperate with all the initiatives that aim at providing an integrated healthcare service,” according to Shahin.

She added that the private sector intends to continue contributing to healthcare initiatives.
