The White Knights will be out to overcome their recent Egypt Cup loss to Ahly in the Super Cup when they face Enppi in the fourth round of the Egyptian Premier League on Wednesday.

Zamalek's loss 2-0 to Ahly on Friday in the UAE handed their archrivals a record-extending 12th Super Cup title.

Against Enppi, Zamalek coach Jesualdo Ferreira will be determined to get a positive result after he was heavily criticised for a defensive strategy in the Super Cup game.

Holders Zamalek currently lie third in the league table with 6 points, three points behind leaders Ittihad of Alexandria, but with one game in hand.

They won the first two games of the league season against Smouha and Ceramica Cleopatra, respectively.

In Wednesday’s game, Zamalek is confirmed to miss the services of Senegalese’s forward Ibrahima Ndiaye and left-back Ahmed Fatouh due to different injuries.

Ferreira also dropped midfielder Emam Ashour.

On the other side, Enppi will be eying their first win of the season after losing twice and drawing once in their first three matches.

The petroleum club held to a 1-1 draw in the opening match against Pyrmids FC before losing to Talae El Gaish and Masry.

Despite the humble start of the season, Enppi management recently renewed confidence in the current technical staff - headed by Ahmed Koshary - to boost the team’s morale ahead of facing the title holders.
