El-Sisi took part in the 31st Arab Summit on Wednesday, during which he urged the Arab world to recall the brightest instances of cooperation in its history amid the current global and regional challenges.

On the sidelines of the summit, El-Sisi met with Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al-Maktoum, and other leaders.

El-Sisi met with Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune. The two leaders affirmed their desire to cement relations on all fronts.

They also stressed the importance of maintaining military cooperation and coordination and stepping up efforts to combat terrorism, especially in light of the different security challenges, notably in the Sahel region.

El-Sisi affirmed Egypt's support for the Algerian presidency of the summit, expressing hope that the summit will result in serious recommendations and visions that reflect the joint efforts exerted under the umbrella of the Arab League to resolve various crises in the region.

The two leaders agreed on the importance of bolstering cooperation in several regional issues of mutual interest, including the crisis in Libya, according to a statement by Presidential Spokesman Bassam Rady.

El-Sisi and Tebboune affirmed the importance of achieving security and stability in Libya, holding the national election in the nearest time, and reinforcing international efforts to expel foreign forces and mercenaries from Libya.

Meeting Iraqi president

El-Sisi held his first meeting with his Iraqi counterpart Abdul-Latif Rashid, who assumed office in October.

El-Sisi asserted Egypt's unwavering stance with Iraq, which is based on supporting its unity and sovereignty in a manner that maintains its security and stability and contributes to preventing the re-emergence of terrorist organisations.

Rashid said Egypt plays a prominent role in strengthening the mechanisms of joint Arab action in the face of the current crises and challenges in the region.

Egypt, the Iraqi president said, is "a role model in maintaining stability and advancing the development and economic and social conditions in the Arab world," the spokesman added.

Rashid expressed his country's aspiration to benefit from Egypt's successful experiment in implementing development projects, especially in the transport and services sectors, added the spokesman.

Meeting Tunisian president

During El-Sisi's meeting with his Tunisian counterpart Kais Saied, he expressed Egypt's interest in developing ties with Tunisia in a sustainable framework to achieve economic integration and strategic cooperation.

El-Sisi stressed Cairo's support for the ongoing march of development and reform in Tunisia, according to the Egyptian news agency MENA.

Saied voiced his country's keenness on bolstering cooperation with Egypt for the best interest of both sides.

Tunisia has praised Egypt's efforts in implementing development projects and comprehensive economic reforms, Saied said, adding that his country looks forward to benefiting from the Egyptian experience.

Saied also expressed his appreciation for the Egyptian efforts to combat terrorism and extremism.

Meeting Jordanian crown prince

El-Sisi met with Jordan’s Crown Prince Al-Hussein bin Abdullah II, where he stressed the necessity of continuing coordination and consultation between the two countries amid the huge challenges facing the region.

The Jordanian crown prince stressed his country’s appreciation for the ongoing coordination with Egypt to tackle various crises facing the countries of the region, which threaten the security and stability of Arab peoples.

The crown prince also praised Egypt’s pivotal role in addressing Arab issues and enhancing Arab solidarity.

Meeting Yemeni presidential council leader

El-Sisi met with head of Yemen’s Presidential Leadership Council Rashad Al-Alimi, where he stressed Egypt’s readiness to support the security and stability of Yemen, which is of great importance to Egyptian national security.

The security of the Arab region and the Red Sea area necessitates the continuation of efforts to reach a permanent ceasefire and political settlement in Yemen and ensure the country’s unity and integrity, the president added.

Last month, Egypt called for the renewal of the UN-mediated six-month truce in Yemen, which expired on 2 October.

Al-Alimi, for his part, hailed Egypt’s efforts to support the security and stability of Yemen and reviewed with the president his government’s efforts to restore peace and stability.

Al-Alimi also reviewed with El-Sisi challenges facing the Yemeni people as a result of the deterioration of the humanitarian situation in the country.

Meeting Somali president

El-Sisi met with his Somali counterpart Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, where he stressed Egypt’s readiness to continue providing support to Somalia to strengthen its state institutions.

El-Sisi also affirmed Egypt’s readiness to activate the various forms of bilateral cooperation between the two countries, especially on the economic and commercial levels, provide humanitarian and relief aid to Somalia to face droughts, and train Somali technical cadres.

The Egyptian president also stressed Egypt’s support for Somalia in all the challenges that the country is facing, especially the danger of extremism and terrorism.

For his part, Mohamud hailed Egypt’s historic support for Somalia in all areas, affirming his country’s keenness to enhance coordination with Egypt on various regional issues of mutual concern and develop bilateral cooperation on all levels.

Mohamud made his first visit to Cairo in July since the start of his new term as president earlier this year, during which he discussed with El-Sisi Red Sea security and a number of regional issues, including the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam dispute between Egypt, Sudan, and Ethiopia.
