Delta team, one of the Egyptian parachute forces, commenced the show by carrying the flags of Egypt and Britain, as well as the air show logo, over the tourist city.
The Egyptian team, Silver Stars, carried out their performances using K8-E aircraft, demonstrating the skills of the Air Force fighters. The British team, Red Arrows, carried out their show using Hawk planes, according to a video statement by the military spokesman.
The day also included air shows with a free-jumping team affiliated with the Egyptian parachute forces, the statement said, adding that the show highlighted Egyptian tourist and archaeological destinations.
The event was attended by Minister of Civil Aviation Mohamed Abbas, President of the Egyptian Senate Abdel-Wahab Abdel-Razeq, Commander of the Air Force Lieutenant General Mahmoud Fouad Abdel-Gawad, and a number of Egyptian Armed Forces commanders.
The Egyptian Silver Stars aerobatics team was formed in 1974.
The show is part of the Armed Forces' efforts to promote tourism.
In August, Egypt also hosted the Pyramids Air Show 2022, with the participation of South Korea’s Black Eagles, at the Giza Plateau.
