The Red Devils made it four wins out of four games to reclaim the top spot with 12 points, two ahead of second-placed Ghazl El Mahalla and Future FC.
The Cairo giants dominated the first half, in terms of possession, but were surprised by a goal from Ahmed Meteb who latched onto a long ball from Ahmed Ayman Mansour to go clear on target and slot the ball past keeper Mohamed El Shennawy in the 26th minute.
After the interval, Ahly increased their pressure and grabbed the equaliser in the 52nd minute when Ahmed Abdel-Kader met a fine cross from Brazilian winger Bruno Savio with a header at the far post.
Midfielder Amr El Sulaya completed the comeback scoring from the penalty spot in the 66th minute following an offence from keeper Omar Radwan on Savio.
Ahly will play Ghazl El Mahalla on Wednesday 7 December in Mahalla.
