Ahly have demanded that Ismaily's board of directors announce their final decision regarding Ahmed Ali's move to the Reds within the next 48 hours.

Ismaily had earlier rejected a LE3 million offer from Ahly for the wantaway striker.

Earlier this week, the Cairo giants appeared to step up their interest in the 25-year-old hitman, along with Ahly striker El-Sayed Hamdy.

Ali's bid, however, faces some administrative hurdles, as the Ismaily board is not authorised to sell any player without first obtaining permission from Egypt’s Sports Council.
