President Sisi inspects Police Academy, attends tests of applicants

President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi inspected on Sunday the Police Academy headquarters in New Cairo and witnessed the admission tests of students applying to join the academy.

El-Sisi was received by Minister of Interior Mahmoud Tawfik and a number of high-level officials from the Police Academy and the interior ministry, Presidential Spokesman Bassam Rady said.

The president stressed the importance of adhering to objectivity and neutrality in selecting the best cadets.

He had an open dialogue with applicants on several international and regional issues as well as the state's efforts to achieve development.

El-Sisi underlined the importance of science and knowledge in facing national challenges.

He urged the applicants to be an example for other youths, wishing them the best of luck in joining the academy.

In October, El-Sisi attended the graduation ceremony of a new class of police cadets at the Police Academy.

The Police Academy was established in 1975, according to its official website. It includes the Police Faculty, the Graduate School, the College of Training and Development, the Police Research Centre and the General Department for Training Security and Guard Dogs.
