On Thursday, the Palestinian health ministry said three people were killed by bullets from the Israeli occupation during another raid in Jenin at dawn.

The ministry said more than 200 Palestinians have been killed in 2022, the largest number in many years, which carries the danger that the situation could deteriorate towards more violence and bloodshed.

Egypt calls on the international community and major countries to shoulder their responsibilities to clam the situation and not be complacent vis-vis the rise of escalation and extremism discourse that leads to violence, the ministry stressed.

The ministry also urged the international community to encourage the parties to create an environment conducive to break the current stalemate in the peace process.
