The EMA expects cool weather to prevail nationwide during the early hours of the morning and late hours of the night this week.
Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, the North Coast, and northern Upper Egypt will see warm daytime weather, while hot weather is expected in South Sinai and southern Upper Egypt.
There is a slight chance of rain in the northwestern coast on Sunday and Monday and in the North Coast and Lower Egypt until the end of the week starting Tuesday, according to the EMA.
Starting Sunday through Tuesday, Greater Cairo and Lower Egypt will see highs of 23-25 degrees Celsius and lows of 13-14 degrees. Between Wednesday and Friday, highs and lows will decline to 20-21 and 12-13, respectively.
The North Coast will experience highs of 21-24 degrees and lows of 13-15 degrees until Tuesday, while highs and lows are expected to decline to 18-21 degrees and 14, respectively.
South Sinai will experience highs of 26-27 degrees and lows of 17-20 degrees until Tuesday, while highs and lows are expected to decline to 23-25 degrees and 16, respectively, starting Wednesday.
Northern Upper Egypt will have highs of 23-26 degrees and lows of 10 degrees until Tuesday, with highs and lows expected to decline to 20-21 degrees and 8, respectively, starting Wednesday.
Also, southern Upper Egypt will have highs of 28-30 degrees and lows of 14-15 degrees over the coming few days before temperatures decline starting Wednesday to highs of 23-25 and lows of 13-14.
In remarks to Ahram Online last week, Manar Ghanem from the Media Centre at the EMA said that normal daytime temperatures for this time of year in Egypt range from 22-23 degrees Celsius in most parts of the country.
