It was a walk in the park for a Zamalek side that barely broke a sweat, attacking at will against their feeble opponents.
In-form winger Youssef Nabih, who scored a last-gasp winner in Zamalek's 1-0 victory over NBE Club on Friday, opened the scoring on the quarter-hour mark before the White Knights opened the floodgates in the second half.
Zizo doubled Zamalek's lead ten minutes after the interval before setting up substitute Mahmoud Shikabala for a trademark goal with 12 minutes remaining.
He then scored again on the rebound after his penalty was blocked by the keeper to complete the rout and take his tally to four goals in eight league games. He also provided five assists.
Zamalek, who are second in the league table, trimmed the gap on leaders Ahly back to two points after the latter scored at the death to beat Pharco 2-1 earlier in the day.
Hodoud, who are still winless, lie at the bottom with just three points.
Zamalek needed 15 minutes to go ahead, Nabih curling a superb shot home from the edge of the area after taking a pass from Ahmed Fattouh into his stride.
Hodoud's only chance fell to Moemen Awad, who poorly played the ball across the area after breaking clear on the stroke of halftime.
Zizo got his name on the scoresheet in the 55th minute when he latched onto a delightful deft pass from Emam Ashour from his own half to outpace his marker and wrong-foot the keeper, who anticipated a cross, with a right-foot shot.
He turned provider in the 78th minute when he once again ran onto a similar through pass from Ashour on the left and sent a chipped pass to Shikabala, who cut inside and planted a left-foot shot past the motionless keeper.
Zizo then put the icing on the cake with a simple finish after his spot-kick was saved as Zamalek ran out comfortable winners.
