Egypt's non-oil exports hit $30.4 billion within 10 months: GOEIC

Egypt's non-petroleum exports from January to October 2022 reached $30.4 billion against $27.1 billion in the same period of 2021, marking a 12-percent increase, according to the General Organization for Export and Import Control (GOEIC).

The country's exports of chemical and fertiliser industries recorded $7.118 billion while building materials sector's exports reached $5.751 billion, according to a report released on Wednesday by the GOEIC, which is affiliated with the country's Ministry of Trade and Industry.

Next up was the food industry's exports that rose to $3.463 billion followed by engineering industries that accounted for $3.077 billion.

The report noted that agricultural crops exports recorded $2.601 billion, and ready-made garments exports also increased to reach $2.092 billion.

The report also explained that exports of printing, packaging, paper, books, and technical works increased to reach $909 million.
