Zamalek Club s president Mortada Mansour
“We will not sign any new players in January as we have more than one player in every position on the field. We offer full support for the coach and other managerial staff,” Mansour, 70, told the club’s TV channel on Monday.
“As we have Nabil 'Dunga' Emad, Amr El-Sisi and Emam Ashour on the midfield, and wingers Mostafa Shalaby and Ahmed 'Zizo' Sayed on both the right and the left, we will not be defeated by any team in the world,” he added.
Holders Zamalek remain undefeated after nine games this seasion and currently lie second in the league table with 21 points, two behind leaders and archrivals Ahly.
“As long as the VAR, video assistant referee technology, is used in the domestic league, Zamalek will win the title,” he concluded.
After winning the league title last year for the second successive season, Zamalek signed ten new players in the off-season to bolster their squad.
