Ahly has signed on Thursday Smouha defender Khaled Abdel-Fattah
Abdel-Fattah produced a string of strong displays with Smouha this season.
The 23-year-old will boost Ahly’s right flank which received a blow after both Akram Tawfik and Karim Fouad suffered from serious knee injuries.
Both will spend lengthy spells on the sidelines as they ruptured Anterior cruciate ligaments (ACL) over the past two weeks.
Ahly are close to landing Etoile du Sahel's young star Mohamed Dhaoui, with many reports suggesting the deal to be announced in the next few days.
The Red Devils are looking to strengthen their squad ahead of the Club World Cup that starts next month.
