Egypt expected to see rainfall on some regions on Monday: EMA

Egypt is expected to see rainfall on Lower Egypt's North Coast, Greater Cairo, and Suez Canal cities and northern Upper Egypt, said the Egyptian Meteorological Authority on Monday.

The rainfall will vary in severity depending on the region, the authority added.

Light to moderate rain is expected on areas in the North Coast, northern Lower Egypt, and Sinai, lowering in intensity in southern regions.

There are currently rainy low to medium altitude clouds over areas of Greater Cairo, northern Upper Egypt, and the Nile Delta accompanied by light sporadic rain, the EMA added.

Southern Lower Egypt and Suez Canal cities may experience light rain at intermittent periods.

Greater Cairo, northern Lower Egypt, northern Upper Egypt and western areas of the North Coast will see strong winds throughout the day.

This week, Greater Cairo and Lower Egypt will see highs of 17-22 degrees Celsius and lows of 10-12 degrees Celsius through Saturday, the EMA said on Sunday.

The North Coast will see highs of 17-21 degrees and lows of 11-12 degrees.

Northern Upper Egypt will experience highs of 17-23 degrees and lows 6-8 degrees.

South Sinai and dsouthern Upper Egypt will see warmer daytime weather with highs of 21-25 degrees and 21-27 degrees, respectively. In the nighttime Southern Upper Egypt will see lows of 9-10 degrees.

Morning mist is expected Tuesday through Saturday on some roads leading to and from Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, the North Coast, Suez Canal cities, Central Sinai, and Northern Upper Egypt, the EMA said.
