Egyptian dance performance What the Hell Am I Doing Here participates in 13th edition of the Arab Theater Festival (ATF) held in Casablanca, Morocco

What the Hell

Directed and choreographed by Carol Ackad, the play saw numerous successful runs in Egypt including those at the Rawabet Art Space. The play features Gehad Hossam El-Din, Toqa Emad, Saffronia and Carol Ackad.

"What the Hell Am I Doing Here: We all ask ourselves this question at different moments of our lives," reads the play's promotional material.

The performance sheds light on four women who present through body movement human beings as they confront burning issues of life, such as dictatorship, violence, tyranny of technology, racism, struggle for freedom, robotisation and digitilisation.

The 13th edition of the Arab Theater Festival (ATF) is held in Casablanca, Morocco,  11 to 16 January.

The festival is held under the auspices of King Mohammed VI. It is organised by the Arab Theater Authority in partnership with the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication. The festival returns this year after a two-year hiatus due to the coronavirus pandemic.
