In their letter to Ahly, the EFA said that his ban, which began on 11 June 2022, had expired on 11 January 2023.

Kahraba, 28, is now eligible to play with Ahly against Smouha in the semi-finals of the Egyptian Cup on Tuesday.

Kahraba was awarded the sixth-month ban after unilaterally breaching his contract with Zamalek in 2019.

The Dispute Settlement Chamber of FIFA fined Kahraba $2 million, in addition to five percent interest valid from 20 June 2019 to the actual payment day. The decision has been upheld by the international Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).

The former Pharaohs striker moved to Portuguese club Desportivo Aves in 2019 before joining Ahly in January 2020.

Over the past three years, Kahrab played 62 games with the Reds scoring 17 goals. He was loaned for six-month to Turkish side Hatayspor in January 2022.
