Promoting Angham’s latest release Aarfa Emty, the campaign is part of Spotify’s EQUAL Arabia programme, initiated in March, to profile and support the work of Arab women artists globally.

“I am always happy and supportive of campaigns that support women and artists in the Arab world in continuing their journeys of creativity and brilliance in order to reach the highest levels of ambition and success. It is what we deserve!” stated Angham through a press release published by Spotify.

Born in 1972, the daughter of composer, violinist and singer Mohamed Ali Soliman and artist Magda Abdel-Haleem, Angham, who celebrated her birthday this week, is considered among the most popular female voices in the Arabic music industry today.

A Cairo Conservatory graduate, Angham launched her career beside her father in the late 1980s, before embarking on her own independent path, reaching a wide popularity across the Arab region with over two dozen successful albums.

Over the years, Angham has released over 28 albums that included many hits like Omry Maak, Hala Khasa Geddan, Ya Retak Fahemny, Ben Al-Benein, Albak, Baatly Nazra, Sidi Wisalak, Sanda Aleik, Wahda Kamla, Nefdal Norkos and many others.

In 2022 alone, Angham released four songs; including Loha Bahta and Ana Mesh Daeefa for the Egyptian show Faten Amal Harby, as well as her rendition of the Egyptian national anthem for the hit TV series Al-Ekhteyar.
