President El-Sisi is scheduled to hold a meeting with President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev to discuss means of cooperation between the two countries at the international and regional levels, Rady added.

Later today, El-Sisi is scheduled to hold a meeting with a number of businessmen and heads of major companies in Azerbaijan.

Both nations have signed a series of agreements over the past year to develop bilateral ties

El-Sisi's visit to Azerbaijan comes on the heels of a three-day visit to India that wrapped up Thursday, where he attended the public celebrations of India's 74th Republic Day as chief guest of honour.

The president's visit to India included meetings with high level Indian officials and representatives from Indian business community to bolster economic ties.

During the visit, Egypt and India agreed to elevate their bilateral relations to a strategic partnership on all levels.
