All Eyes on Him (Season 1)

All Eyes on Him (2020) is an Arabic language adult animated series with English subtitles. The Kuwaiti production stars Sayood, Abdul-Azeem Al-Bloushi and Mariam Ali.
The series follows a recent high school graduate who struggles to navigate life's big questions around college, employment, marriage, and the future.

The Bodyguard
Starting 1 February
Netflix release

ِNetflix is rereleasing the movie The Bodyguard which was a hit of the early 1990s. The Bodyguard stars Whitney Houston and Kevin Costner. The movie has won numerous awards, mainly for its soundtrack. At the time of its release, the movie's iconic song I Will Always Love You, which was performed by Whitney Houston, was a major hit that topped the charts for a long time.

Orchestra Giovanile Erasmus

Bibliotheca Alexandrina, Alexandria

The orchestra consisting of over 45 young Italian musicians is conducted by Elio Orciolo. The evening dubbed The Italian Gala presents works by Paganini, Artunian, Donizetti, Bizet, Puccini and Monicone. The soloists are Mariam Abouzahra (violin), Moustafa Gamal (trumpet), Sara Semilia (soprano) and Samuele Di Leo (tenor).
The Cairo and Alexandria concerts follow their successful performance at the Luxor Temple on 30 January.

English standup comedy show

The Golden Theatre - Dandy Mega Mall, Giza

Hosted by Hashem El-Garhy, the show brings together foreign comedians collaborating with  Egyptian artists. The evening will feature Julien, Ahmed Shehata, Brian Aylward and Hashem El-Garhy.

Dubbed the Giggle Terminal, this open mic event invites the audience to discover the future comedians.

Comedy Sett - standup comedy show
Saturday 4 February, 8pm
Rawabet Art Space, 5 Hussein Basha Al-Meamari, Marouf, Cairo

The event will feature six women comedians including Ola Roshdy (returning to the stage after a 10 year hiatus) and Fadwa Abed with her debut set. The line-up also features Rahma Zein, Reem Nabil, Bernadette and Noha Kato

Massar Egbari concert
Friday 3 February, 8pm
Merryland Park, Cairo

Founded in 2005, Massar Egbari is one of the leading independent bands in Egypt . The band's line-up includes Hani El-Dakkak (guitar and lead vocal), Ahmed Hafez (bass guitar), Tamer Attallah (drums), Ayman Massoud (keyboards), and Mahmoud Siam (guitar).

Gaza Mon Amour

Netherlands-Flemish Institute in Cairo, 1, Dr. Mahmoud Azmi Street Zamalek, Cairo 

The multi award-winning Palestinian film stars Salim Daw, Hiam Abbass, Maisa Abdel-Hadi, Georges Iskandar, Hitham Al-Omari, and Manal Awad. Directed by twin brothers Tarzan and Arab Nasser, Gaza Mon Amour is about 60-year-old fisherman Issa’s (Salim Daw) attempts to declare his secret love to dressmaker Siham (Hiam Abbass), before he discovers an ancient statue of Apollo in his fishing net, which eventually causes trouble with the local authorities.

Gypsy Soul concert
Monday 6 February, 8pm
Cairo Opera House, small hall, Zamalek, Cairo

Performed by Yasmine Samy on piano and Sylvie Porier on violin, the evening will present the Gypsy inspired music, with works such as Sarasate's Zigeunerweisen and Ravel's Tzigane

Monday 6 February, 8pm
Room Art Space, 10 Etehad El-Mohamein Street, Garden City

Saad El-Oud plays songs representing authentic Egyptian heritage in his remarkable way of interacting with the audience.
