The film, which is the first production by Boulevard Studios, stars Fahad Alqahtani, Khaled Yeslam, Ali Alsharif, Ismael Alhasan, Fatima Albanawi, Khairiah Abulaban and others.

Written by Hani Kadour and Omar Bahabri, the comedy-drama is directed by Abdulelah Alqurashi. It is the director’s second film after Rollem.

Based on true events that occurred in Jeddah in the early 2000s; the film tells the story of Hamour Sawwa, a famous fraudster businessman who collected around 400 million SAR from over 4,000 stakeholders with false promises of profit.

“I had the idea for the movie for years, since I was working in banking,” the director said in a press release published Saturday. “When I became interested in cinema and headed to the USA in 2010 to study, I wanted to turn this idea into a movie.”

The film’s score was produced by Egyptian multi-award-winning composer Hesham Nazih, whose work was highly praised by the director.

Alhamour H.A. will premiere in Cairo on Monday in a special screening with a gala ceremony that will host the cast and crew members at Mall of Arabia’s Vox Cinemas in 6 October City.

Alhamour H.A. initially premiered in Saudi theatres on 18 January.

The Saudi film industry has witnessed a boom in recent years, as the government has widely backed the entertainment sector as part of the Vision 2030 economic and social reform plan.
