The final list includes 12 candidates competing to fill half of the board seats.

Registration closed on Wednesday noon.

A quorum of more than 25 percent must be present for the elections to be held.

The previous election was held in April 2021 in an open-air venue at the Teachers Club in Cairo’s El-Gezira district due to coronavirus concerns.

The current head of the syndicate Diaa Rashwan has served two consecutive terms and will not run again for the office per term limits.
