Byung, who arrived in Cairo on 16 February, took a tour with the Egy-Korea social media group members in the Giza Pyramids, the Egyptian Museum, the Citadel and Al-Moez Street. Byung expressed her fascination with the Pyramids, saying they were "like a miracle."

The tour began with a meal at a Korean restaurant before the group headed to Al-Moez Street, where the writer and her mother were impressed by the Egyptian Islamic civilisation, and tried traditional Egyptian food, such as hummus Al-Sham, and sweet dumplings.

The group then went to a library and bought Egyptian handmade products. Byung bought a small booknote with her Arabic name (Aisha) printed on it and she tried some Bedouin clothes on.

On the following day, the group headed to the Pyramids, where they took pictures and a tour on camelback, before entering the middle pyramid.

At the library of the Korean Cultural Centre in Dokki, a book signing ceremony was held for the writer by the Egy-Korea social media group members. The event was attended by a number of Egyptian fans.

At the ceremony, Byung wore the traditional Korean Hanbok costume designed by Egyptian designer Nariman Talal, who is famous in Egypt for designing the Hanbok.

Born in Seoul, South Korea, Byung moved to Qatar to work as an aviation hostess in 2007.

Byung made her debut as a writer in 2003 and she received an award from the Korea Arts Council.
