The Pharaohs will host Malawi at home in the third round of the AFCON qualifiers on 24 March and away from home in the fourth round on 28 March.

Egypt started their mission in the qualifiers in June 2022 with a 1-0 win at home over Guinea before losing to Ethiopia 2-0 away from home.

The Pharaohs are in the bottom of Group D of the 2023 AFCON qualifiers with three points.

Meanwhile, Malawi are second with the same number of points but with a goal number advantage.
