This included areas in Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, the North Coast, and Suez Canal, according to the Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA).

Satellite images showed dense clouds over areas east of the country, such as Salloum, Sidi Barani, and Matrouh, added the EMA.

The EMA earlier stated that several parts of Egypt will see unstable weather starting Monday through the weekend, with a drop in temperatures, rainfall of varying intensity, and strong wind.

The EMA said the T-shirt weather that prevailed over the past week is predicted to break as of Monday, with a return of winter conditions manifested in a 40-70 percent chance of rainfall during this period and  significant temperature changes.

Greater Cairo and Lower Egypt will experience a drop in daytime temperatures from 27 degrees Celsius on Monday to 21 degrees on Wednesday, and from 15 to 12 degrees at night.

Meanwhile, the North Coast will see highs of 20 degrees and lows of 11-13 degrees. South Sinai will see highs drop from 27 degrees on Monday to 25 degrees on Wednesday, and lows from 16 to 15 degrees.

In southern Upper Egypt, highs will drop from 32 degrees on Monday to 25 degrees on Wednesday, and lows from 15 to 14 degrees. In northern Upper Egypt, highs will drop from 29 degrees to 22 degrees, and lows from 12 to 11 degrees.
