Pharaohs coach Rui Vitoria
Egypt will face Malawi on Friday at the Air defense stadium in the 2023 Nations Cup qualifiers.
The Pharaohs are fourth in Group D with three points.
They are on a level with the other teams, who all have three points but lie in the Group bottom due to their negative goal difference record.
“Our game against Malawi is complex and essential, “Vitoria told the pre-match news conference on Thursday.
“The game will not be easy, and we will do our best to win.”
The game against Malawi will be the first competitive game for Vitoria with the Pharaohs.
The Portuguese coach, appointed Pharaohs coach last July, has managed the team in three friendly games against Niger, Liberia and Belgium, respectively.
He guided the Egyptian national team to win the three games and hopes to make a winning start in the official game against Malawi.
“The game will be important as we need to win,”
“It will be my first official game with the team, and I want to win.”
“There is no difference between friendly and official games. I want to win in all categories,” he concluded.
