Following a discussion with coalition leaders on Monday morning, Netanyahu is determined to halt the judicial overhaul, the sources stated.
They added that the prime minister is expected to announce the freezing of the legislation later on Monday.
Likud lawmaker Tally Gotliv tweeted on Monday on Netanyahu's behalf that the prime minister's expected suspension of judicial overhaul may stem from a personal consideration, after his attorney Boaz Ben Zur threatened to stop representing him in Case 4000, one of four corruption cases Netanyahu is facing.
Meanwhile, far-right National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir said he will resign if the overhaul legislation is stopped but will continue to support the coalition from the outside.
