Salah's 20th-minute strike was not enough as Man City powered back with goals from Julian Alvarez, Kevin de Bruyne, Ilkay Gundogan and Jack Grealish to keep the pressure on Arsenal and deliver another blow to Liverpool's Champions League qualification hopes.
The 30-year-old Salah became the first Liverpool player to score in four different games against an opponent in a single campaign. Liverpool's Ian Rush achieved this feat in five meetings with Everton in 1986-87.
Salah also broke Liverpool's record for the highest scorer away from home in the Premier League, reaching 56 goals and surpassing Michael Owen's previous record.
Since joining Liverpool in the summer of 2017, Salah has shattered several club records, including the Premier League all-time scorer and the Champions League all-time scorer.
