This includes six minors and a female prisoner, making it the highest since 2003.

The pps also reported that about 800 administrative detention orders have been issued since the beginning of this year, with most of them being new orders.

The use of administrative detention has significantly increased since last year compared to the past few years, with over 13,000 administrative detention orders issued by israeli authorities in the past nine years, and last year having the highest number of orders at 2409.

80 percet of administrative detainees are former detainees who have already spent years in Israeli prisons, including under administrative detention.

This procedure is used almost exclusively to detain palestinians from the occupied Palestinian territory, including the West ank, East Jerusalem, and the Gaza Strip, allowing the Israeli occupation to hold prisoners indefinitely on secret information without charging them or allowing them to stand trial.
