Khartoum International Airport has been closed to all air traffic since Saturday morning.

EgyptAir had suspended all of its flights to and from Khartoum airport for 72 hours starting Saturday afternoon - shortly after the outbreak of violence in Khartoum.

On Tuesday, fighting raged in the Sudanese capital and elsewhere in the country between the Sudanese Armed Forces and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) for a fourth straight day.

Earlier today, a senior military commander in the Sudanese army told Al-Arabiya that the RSF carried out acts of sabotage at Khartoum airport and disrupted air traffic.
