The two discussed the importance of reaching an agreement to immediately stop the fighting in Sudan, as well as the necessity of resolving the ongoing conflict internally without external interference.
According to the Greek Foreign Ministry, Dendias said that Greece was closely following the situation in Sudan in order to provide assistance to the Greek diaspora in the country located to Egypt’s south.
They discussed possible cooperation in evacuating Greek expats in Sudan as soon as conditions allow it, the Greek foreign ministry said.
The two officials also affirmed the importance of continuing coordination to follow up on bilateral relations and to build on the results of Shoukry's recent visit to Athens last week.
Political consultations on regional files of common interest will also continue between the two countries.
