The egyptian foreign ministry said it is coordinating around the clock with the Sudanese authorities as well as the Egyptian Embassy in Khartoum and the Egyptian consulates in Port Sudan and Wadi Halfa to follow up on the conditions of the Egyptian community in Sudan.
The foreign ministry called on all Egyptian nationals in Sudan to stay in their residences and steer clear of areas of tension and turmoil.
The ministry also urged nationals to remain calm and maintain communications with the Egyptian diplomatic and consular representatives in Sudan until instructions related to evacuation are issued.

There are 10,000 Egyptian citizens in Sudan, half of whom are students.
The Sudanese army, which has been embroiled in deadly clashes with the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) since last week, said they are coordinating efforts to evacuate foreign citizens and diplomats from the country.
On saturday, a boat carrying 50 Saudi citizens and other nationals from several countries arrived in Jeddah, according to the Saudi state-run Al-Ekhbariya TV, in the first announced evacuation of civilians since fighting began.
