The concert will occur in Cairo on Monday at ZED East, Fifth Settlement, New Cairo.

Backstreet Boys has been viral in Egypt on social media recently since the concert was announced in February, with thousands of hardcore fans recalling memories and making jokes about how young they were during the band's golden era.

Songs such as I Want It That Way, Everybody, Show Me the Meaning of Being Lonely, As Long as You Love Me, Shape of My Heart and other hits have returned powerfully to Egyptian listens on many streaming platforms.

On Sunday, Spotify stated to Ahram Online that “Backstreet Boys' streams on the Swedish platform have surged by almost 85%, while searches for their music have risen by nearly 90%”. In addition, ‘This Is Backstreet Boys’ -- the playlist that features the band's most essential tracks -- has seen a staggering 266% increase in plays, especially from Cairo and Alexandria.

Arriving from the Iceland leg of their tour, the Backstreet Boys will make a stop in Cairo before continuing to India, UAE, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia.

The tour promoting their ninth studio album, DNA (2019), includes 150 shows in the Americas, Europe, Africa, the Middle East, Asia and Australia.

Tickets for the anticipated concert -sponsored by many private and public entities- are still available via the Ticketsmarche website, with prices ranging between EGP 2,000 ($65) and EGP 10,000 ($325).
