The game, which ended in a goalless draw, was marred by disruptive behavior from some fans, and a 29-year-old woman died outside the stadium before the match as thousands of fans tried to enter the stadium.

The Cairo giants advanced to the semifinals after a 2-0 aggregate victory, setting up a meeting with Tunisian side Esperance de Tunis.

CAF also condemned the irresponsible behavior of some supporters during the quarterfinal match between Esperance and Algeria's JSK in Tunisia on the same day, which caused a 40-minute delay to the second half.

“CAF has strongly condemned unruly behaviour by a section of supporters during two CAF Champions League fixtures in Tunisia and Morocco on Saturday night” read a statement on the CAF official website on Monday.

CAF General Secretary Veron Mosengo-Omba said that the matter would be investigated and appropriate action would be taken.

He added that the scenes in Tunis and Casablanca were unacceptable and that CAF would not tolerate such behavior in football.

"We condemn unruly actions by some supporters in the strongest terms. CAF will hand over the matter to our judicial structures for further investigation," Omba concluded.
