The apps aim to diversify service channels, facilitate the submission of complaints and reports of power outages and faults, and improve customer satisfaction and the quality of services provided by customer-affiliated companies, according to a statement from the ministry on Tuesday.

The first application, called 'Electricity Emergency,' provides quick responses to electricity service emergencies and power outages to ensure technical intervention and response to inquiries.

The second application, 'Electricity Services for the Deaf,' offers all electricity service procedures through sign language for individuals with hearing impairments.

These two new applications are part of Egypt's unified smart electricity services platform, which has been accessed by 3.5 million users since its launch in 2020. The platform has received over 3.6 million service requests from the various services available on the platform, the statement explained.

The ministry has previously launched the 'Smart Electricity Services' application, , which enables citizens to apply for their own services electronically and allows for electronic payment services.

It has also launched the 'Electricity Services for the Blind' application, which provides audio for individuals with vision impairments and displays all services, sub-services, and procedures for each service and the documents necessary to obtain the service.
